The Main Press Center (M.P.C.)
Construction & Erection
The Main Press Center, a building of a total of 52.300 square meters in area, was located in the wider area of the OAKA sports complex. Our company was responsible for one part of the structure. The steel construction of concrete slabs had been chosen as the company’s main building method. The joists are made of steel with octagonal or round apertures not only for crossing the complex but also for advancing its aesthetic particularity.
A five-storey building was constructed that weighs 500 tons. For its steel parts we used fire-resistant paint. What distinguished this building from the other structures of the sports complex was its big apertures. Finally, the lofts of the building were made from hived joists.
